My name is Tully I'm half way through my MFA, majoring in sculpture and installation. My supervisors are Allan Giddy and Richard Goodwin, who both lend very different perspectives to my research. Richard is an essential contact for his knowledge and commitment to experimental art that attempts to break down stale frameworks within society and human interaction. Allan has encouraged me to develop levels of interactivity (electronic and mechanical) within my sculpture that hopefully lead to a greater level of autonomy. Relationships between sculptures and the audience (and between different sculptures themselves) develop towards a crude interpretation of 'artificial intelligence'. My practice is also interested in creative notions of 'invention' and 'alchemy' as they are used in the manipulation of everyday objects and materials into artworks
